Writes code, executes tests, and supports software products in an engineering environment. Participates in the design, development, and support of software products; writes documents and code; tests software products using user- k
Knowledge of at least one high- language currently used on projects.
familiar with unix/linux based programming language. Knowing how to navigate around scientific linux OS will be great and as well as familiarize with bash scrips writing. “Cyflex” also a plus.
Installs software and manages and resolves licensing/access controls issues; resolves helpdesk tickets and provides customer support with installations,
training and application support for assigned products; supports major systems changes and implementations of new hardware and software.
Uses Windows or UNIX operating systems interface.
Executes software test procedures using open and closed loop simulators, desktop simulators, machine virtualization and other test platforms as required;
prepares test reports with minimal supervision.
Participates in cross-functional reviews; collects and tabulates metrics; gathers data using Six Sigma tools; schedules tracking systems and other process
Prepares and documents test environment prior to testing; uses software testing tools and develops test software for use in automated test activities; debugs,
compiles/builds errors to the source code.
Downloads software to the target platform and performs validation procedures; uses configuration management systems to update and maintain product
databases; uses problem tracking systems to update and maintain problem database.
Takes corrective actions based on problem reports and change requests as needed to ensure high-quality software products.
Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work.
Works with and trains apprentices and technicians.
Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.
Coordinates programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.
Leads and participate in improvement projects.
Develops and gives presentations to customers and suppliers.
Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrates confidentiality as required.
Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action.
Performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.

Qualifications and Competencies
Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR
Associates degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR Position Profile
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Must pass all related testing.
Department of Labor Certification OR four year experience/education requirement accomplished through either Bachelors degree in related field OR associates
degree in related field and at least two years of relevant experience.
