Qualifications

The Logistics II is able to provide a quality service to internal and external customers by managing inbound/outbound material flow and inventory accuracy and must possess a demonstrated ability to learn all power industrial equipment. We have immediate openings on our 2nd (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) and 3rd (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3-5 years related or equivalent experience preferred warehouse

  • Requires Forklift and/or power truck license and some specialized training in packaging/mailing procedures ,Oracle R12, inventory systems, and WMS, RF scanners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produces quality work by following defined departmental procedures and/or process documentation

  • Communicates directly with customers through team meetings to identify customer needs and maintains ongoing, direct contact with internal and external customers

  • Coordinates the integration of parts, supply, and unit order and expedites parts for orders

  • Processes transactions correctly using Oracle

  • Disposes of scrap properly in the most financially beneficial methods

  • Rotates through various stages of team production

  • Checks orders, specifications, or samples to determine work procedure, recognizes errors, and advises Team Leader of any corrections or potential improvements in work processes

  • Reads blueprints at a basic level to determine if parts are correct when necessary

  • Makes accurate counts and verifies against proper documents and marks containers with proper quantity, part number and date, if necessary

  • Operates PIV, hoist/crane, and power lifting equipment in a safe and alert manner in the receiving, storing, movement, and shipping of stock/parts

  • Performs visual inspections of parts and packaging to provide a quality product and takes appropriate corrective action when quality defects are detected

  • Participates actively in the identification of ways in which to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development

  • Participates in all workplace safety and environmental policies and procedures by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), keeping work area safe and clean using 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), completing annual safety training, and reporting any risks or hazards

  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload to maximize productivity and efficiency

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate $18.70/hour with step progression to $22.00/hour Shift Premium (.70/hour.) Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
