Storeroom Attendant - Hourly (2nd Shift)

Description

Position Summary: Provides customer service by supporting Manufacturing Operations, Maintenance, and other Plant Employees by fulfilling requests to maintain daily production goals. The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for maintaining inventory records for supplies, tooling and other equipment utilized to support plant functions. Additional daily responsibilities include placing and receiving orders, issuing inventory, cycle counting, and validating vendor invoices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use of Inventory and Purchasing Management Systems (i.e. Maximo, Ariba)

  • Orders, receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine parts, materials, and equipment in a manufacturing environment

  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools equipment, manually or using computer

  • Performs Cycle Counting daily as required

  • Deliver tools or equipment from store rooms to workers

  • Mark and identify tools equipment using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tools

  • Ensures the Storeroom is kept neat and orderly

  • Other tasks as required. (i.e. Data Entry, Data Retrieval, Charting, 5S)

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or inventory control

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office to include Word & Excel

  • Excellent organizational skills for completing projects and meeting deadlines

  • Exceptional and accurate math skills

  • Must be able to obtain a forklift license

  • Communicating effectively with others.

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Good attendance record

  • Flexible to accommodate overtime needs that arise

  • Ability to be self-directed when performing tasks with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs

  • Must be able to walk/stand at least 75% of the time
